Programme:

Day 1: We will greet you in the morning in Villahermosa’s airport and will travel for 2 hours to get to know one of the most beautiful cities in the Mayan world: Palenque. We will then drive for 2 hours towards the Lacandon Jungle to spend the night in the “Río Lacanjà Camp”.
Day 2: In the morning we will visit the archeological site of Bonampak, which means “Painted Walls”. This site is famous for its mural paintings, which are the best preserved and most important ones in the Mayan classic period. We will then drive to the village of Frontera Corozal, to take a motorboat to reach the lost City of Yaxchilan, which temples rise in the middle of the forest. We will set our first camp on a sandy beach on the edge of the Usumacinta river at night, and after a delicious dinner, we will light a fire and enjoy a sky full of stars and the sounds of the jungle.
Day 3: After breakfast, we will get the equipment ready and embark on the Usumacinta river. At midday, we will reach the first rapids of the tour and after this point, the river will flow faster to get us to the archeological site of Piedras Negras, where we will set our second camp and will sleep with a beautiful choir of howler monkeys.
Day 4: In the morning, we will hike inside the Guatemalan jungle to visit the archeological site of Piedras Negras and explore its temples and tombs that are hidden in the forest. We will then go back to the camp, which is set on a beautiful beach, to enjoy a refreshing swim in the river.
Day 5: Today is an exciting day: in 2 hours we will visit the beautiful waterfalls of Busilha, which have an approximate height of 35 mts., before entering the San José Canyon and rafting down its rapids between its steep walls of up to 200 mts. of height. We will row for another hour to finish our tour in a village where a vehicle will be waiting for us to take us back to the city of Villahermosa. End of service.
